NetworkActiv Web Server 3.5

NetworkActiv Web Server (NAWS) was designed from scratch with the intent of being the very easiest Web server software available and is not based on any previously existing web servers or programs, while still providing the necessary advanced features. With an intuitive and to-the-point graphical user interface, NAWS can be set up in a matter of minutes, even by the inexperienced user. NAWS includes support for the industry standard features, such as CGI, PHP, and Perl, as well as support for serving byte ranges, which allows for real-time positioning of audio files that are being streamed.

This is a great little peice of software for sharing files on you home computer with friends and family. VERY easy to setup, you don’t even need to know html, password protection, upload feature and you can set it to access any directory\folder on you computer or even multiple directory\folders.

On the web – web2

27 06 2007

Photosynth Technology.

Ever wonder where the web2 is going, take a look at this beautiful preview from Microsoft Live Labs.

The Photosynth Technology Preview is a taste of the newest – and, we hope, most exciting – way to view photos on a computer. Our software takes a large collection of photos of a place or an object, analyzes them for similarities, and then displays the photos in a reconstructed three-dimensional space, showing you how each one relates to the next.

This looks to be the next generation way to view people, places and things on the web thru photography. This is amazing and beautiful to see in action. It will require a small plug-in to be installed but it is well worth it. After seeing the preview on the first page go to the collection pages and see the other six wonderful sites from around the world.

The software takes a large collection of photos of a place or an object, analyzes them for similarities, and displays them in a reconstructed three-dimensional space.

With Photosynth you can:

  • Walk or fly through a scene to see photos from any angle.
  • Seamlessly zoom in or out of a photo whether it’s megapixels or gigapixels in size.
  • See where pictures were taken in relation to one another.
  • Find similar photos to the one you’re currently viewing.
  • Send a collection – or a particular view of one – to a friend

Everybody needs a laugh

An Irishman who had a little too much to drink
is driving home from the city one night and,
of course, his car is weaving violently all over the road.

A cop pulls him over.
“So,” says the cop to the driver,
where have ya been?”
“Why, I’ve been to the pub of course,”
slurs the drunk.
“Well,” says the cop, “it looks like you’ve had quite
a few to drink this evening.”
“I did all right,” the drunk says with a smile.
“Did you know,” says the cop, standing straight and
folding his arms across his chest, “that a few intersections
back, your wife fell out of your car?”
“Oh, thank heavens,” sighs the drunk.
“For a minute there, I thought I’d gone deaf.”

WIFE VS. HUSBAND

A  couple drove down a country road for several miles, not saying a  word.
An  earlier discussion had led to an argument and neither of them wanted to concede their position.

As they passed a barnyard of mules, goats, and pigs, the  husband asked sarcastically, “Relatives of yours?”

“Yep,” the wife replied, “in-laws.”
